14-16 September 2022 – The start-up meeting of the CoastVision project took place in Grimstad/Arendal last week. Sixteen of the project’s partners participated in the meeting. The project members presented data and state-of-the-art methods, which resulted in exciting discussions. We also took time to explore Grimstad’s rich culture of food production and maritime history. The next 12 months of the project will be focused on training the key machine learning parts of the computer vision algorithms for fully automated counting, sizing and re-identifying individual fish in the wild.
