The team runs an experiment to assess epigenetic responses to ocean acidification and warming

October 2018 – David Fields, Steve Shema and Cameron Thompson spent 3 weeks at Austevoll conducting an experiment to assess epigenetic responses in Cladocerans, rotifers and copepods to ocean acidification and warming. The objective of the project is to improve our understanding of the capacity of marine populations to adapt to climate change. The project is in collaboration with Neel Aluru at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute.
