Areas of expertise and interest
My major research interest lies in zooplankton biology and ecology, specifically in how aquaculture and other anthropogenic activities have an impact over zooplankton populations. During the second year of my Master’s Degree I had the opportunity to choose an area of specialization, mine being pelagic ecosystems and the effects of human activities on them. In this context, my master’s thesis focused on the effects of an anti-sea lice chemotherapeutant, hydrogen peroxide, on mortality, escape response and oxygen consumption of Calanus spp..
