Austevoll is one of the largest and best-equipped experimental marine science and aquaculture research stations in the world, with a large number of indoor and outdoor tanks of various volumes and dimensions, culture facilities for live feed, laboratory facilities as well as a sea cage complex. In addition to laboratory and culturing spaces, there is a library, two conference rooms, and desk space for visiting researchers.
